With the wide selection of construction lasers available today, it can be difficult just to shop and decide on a model. The task of researching the different models is more than most people want to deal with or can devote the time to.

What are construction lasers?

They are used in a variety of jobs where layouts are performed and an accurate, level reference is required. Types of laser levels

Choosing a construction laser is not just application specific, there are basically three types of lasers to make your layout less time consuming for specific distances in construction. They are PLUMB ("Dot LASER"), LINE LEVEL ("Line Generators") or ROTARY. For distances from 1' to 150' we recommend PLUMB or LINE GENERATORS. For 200' or more we recommend ROTARY. These are basic rules of thumb for model selection and things can always vary depending on your exact task or application.
